Born in Balcarce, Argentina, Raul Matinata is a proud resident of the state of Nevada. In September of 1969 he
enrolled at the Mar Del Plata National University of Agricultural Sciences in Argentina and recieved an agricultural engineer
diploma in 1977. During the time from 1972 to 1975 he worked at the university and at the Balcarce National Institute
of Agricultural technology in Argentina as a laboratory and research assistant. Working in experiments and field
essays in organic chemistry and horticulture, he helped to develop, test, and impliment new crop producing methods.
In 1975, in addition to his total involvement of produce growing in an area of three acres, he started his own landscape
company, Balcarce landscape service, which he kept until he left for the United States in 1980. Immediately after
arriving, he took the course on plants, pests, and diseases at the University of California, Los Angeles and began Matinata
Landscape. During his time in Los Angeles, he took classes at different schools to better his craft such as courses
on landscpae design at the learning tree university in Chatsworth California. All the while studying for and receiving
his his California Contractors License in 1985.
After relocating to Las Vegas and receiving his Nevada Contractors License in 1994, his company continues
to provide great service. Raul continues to be a member of the CLCA since 1992, and a member of the National
Council of Engineers since 1976. He is also a proud member of the Coldwell Banker Cocierge program, and
a Nevada Water Smart Contractor.
